I know it's super late, but I didn't expect this to happen.
After failing to dye a wig pink (and wasting several permanent markers), I don't trust myself to do it anymore and decided that it was better for me to get a pink wig instead. Unfortunately, it's too late to order from Cosworx, Amphigory, or Ebay without it being extremely expensive. If anyone is willing to part with a long pink wig, I will buy it from you. The wig does not have to be "butt-length;" even somewhere around 26" would be enough for me. I'm even willing to go a little bit shorter. I'm willing to negotiate the price as well. If interested, we can make the exchange at the convention on Friday (I'm unable to make it Thursday). I will be eternally grateful to anyone who could help me out.

On Wednesday, I'm heading out from Memphis to Otakon in Baltimore. Anybody who's on the way want a free ride up there? I don't need gas money, I just hate driving by myself for 14 hours and could use the company. |

My weekend was a sitcom like adventure of Backwards.
Without delving into detail, I had an excellent weekend where the typical order of events was reversed. Between the "backwards date" of Saturday, continuing reversals of Sunday and the general amount of slapstick comedy going on, its a wonder there wasn't a small dimensional rift at my studio by Monday morning...
Little Mermaid on Broadway -- surprisingly entertaining, especially with the right company. ;) The performers are showing a little bit of their "End of Run" senior-its, but the young child playing Flounder of course steals the show.
Phonebooth in the Rain with Umbrella + Warm Dessert. Highlight of the weekend.
Wedding was beautiful. I'm wishing the couple the absolute best -- and I took it easy on them with the wedding prank... ;) Of course, following the theme of the weekend I arrived to the ceremony just in time to uh.. trip... and have to fix things... ^_^;;;
---Do be aware though... There are some strange people walking around at 1am on Fifth Avenue!

We've got room for one more chill, mature congoer in our Days Inn room (hyperactive yaoi paddle bearers need not apply - non-hyperactive paddle bearers are just fine). Must be over 18 and willing to pay in cash or personal check, no drugs, no smoking, no parties, no drama. We'll split the room evenly between the four of us.
We plan to sleep at midnight-1ish. None of us snore.
Current standings are my fiancee, myself, and a friend of ours. I gotta call a bed for medical reasons (my neck sucks). You can negotiate with the friend how to split the other bed - hot-bunk, share it, whatever works for you. Might be a good idea to bring an air mattress - the Days Inn does have rollaway beds, but they don't book them in advance.
We won't get in your way, we won't take up too much space, and we're experienced con-goers who know how to keep things smooth for our roommates. We hope to have the same in you. ^_^
We'll be coming in Thursday afternoon/evening and checking out Sunday morning.

i just cancelled a room at the hilton, and a few days ago cancelled a room at the radisson if anyone needs a room still. they were both con rate. or at least the hilton was...it's been a long while since i reserved the radisson room. |

I watched EVA:1.0 in Anime Expo!!
A lot of funs came and everyone got so excited by EVA!!! Unfortunately, it was dub version, but it was so cool and great!!
At all, EVA is really really interesting!!
I met a voice actor who played "Rei Ayanami"!!
She was so cute & so sweet!!
And, I got their autograph!!
That day was sooooooooo wonderful day for me!!!!
Evangelion:1.0 is opening on July 17th in Phoenix and on July 17h in Los Angeles!!!
And, it is coming to the theater more and more in the U.S!!!Current Mood: excited |

So I saw an ad for Macy’s having a bedding sale. And I’m a sucker for a sale when they are really SALES. And I still want to buy some new bedding for the bed in the apartment.. So I might go buying something today.
(No, I haven’t forgotten that I’m going to go shopping with sunseenli and oshidori — this would be in addition to what I find with them. Yay shopping!)

Google takes on Windows with Chrome OS - CNN.com
… So I’ve said this several times, I’m not even the only one. Google is Skynet, Alpha Release.
Look at their products. They dominate search engines, which is a cornerstone of information, and information is power.
They already (with a handy little submission from you) track your location 24/7. (Google Latitude)
They are cataloging all human knowledge bit by bit. (Book cataloging and digitizing)
Their computers help you shop, eat, sleep, read, and I’m sure they’d help you breathe. They modify your social life and they alter your perception of the world. There are already sites where people “explore and travel” using Google Mapview and Google Earth.
They have applets for almost everything, they manage your calendar and read your email.
And now they are talking of releasing an operating system that will emphasize Cloud Computing and other such centralized initiatives.
They’re Skynet. We’re doomed. Once there’s google controlled robots we will be exterminated like the archiac tools we are. ^_^;;;;

Getting myself back into the mood to shoot. Spent the first few hours home tonight shooting quick snapshots of old 35mm photos (to be posted shortly..)
Also found this gem in my archive boxes yesterday at my parent’s place — its a 1970’s manual camera that’s built like a tank and actually worth some cash. Its got a 50mm f1.4 prime that I look forward to testing with some slide film, maybe at Otakon..
Quickie composition on my tabletop with available light — kinda like this. I think its going to become an icon.

I've taken over an open room at the Days Inn, so I have a room at the Holiday Inn that I no longer need. It is a two bed room at the Holiday Inn on 301 West Lombard Street for $150/night.
The cancellation date is the 9th, so I can only hold this room as open until Wednesday at 6:30 PM Eastern. If nobody expresses interest, I will cancel the room and to the victor goes the spoils.

I’m not making fun of anyone. This is a reminder to several people including myself to take the whole snoring thing seriously. I was already familiar with the studies involving sleep apnea — this is just a wake up call (no pun intended) to not dismiss them.

This has been something I've been wondering about since my first trip back in 2006... are there any video game tournaments that AREN'T directly planned/advertised by the Otakon staff? Because I recall hearing of a few tournaments happening in previous years that I had known nothing about beforehand.
If so, is there like one central site where people generally plan these out? Or is it just kinda up to the individual communities/fanbases/etc. to plan amongst themselves? I'm really interested in seeing if anyone's planning any MegaMan Starforce (preferably 2 or 3) tournaments this year. |

Several people have crossposted the re-shoot version of this original take. See, we were in the woods yesterday, lightpainting. I said to everyone, “I want to stage a murder!” Ollie was brave enough to agree to be my victim.
(I’m tired of being the victim. I wanted to be the madman for once.
Anyhow, this was the first take, and we decided to reshoot it. That came out great, but I kind of like this one too. Its alot more subtle with the beam of light, and since the lighting was still fresh it looks a tiny bit less staged…
Anyhow, big points to Scott Arg for having fun with lightpainting, and letting me and others just have fun for once. Its nice to NOT be behind the camera occasionally! XD

Hey there kids, I want your opinion...
So I'm working on a Dizzy from Guilty Gear costume... and I'm torn between doing it in black Vinyl or fake leather. Basically the Matte or Glossy look.
For those who aren't as familiar with her:

Does anyone have any opinions as to which one looks cooler? Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to what the white material should be? If I did shiny vinyl I'd probably go with a white vinyl... but if I did the fake leather... I'm not sure what to go with... Anyone got any ideas?

On each of the three screenings of fan parodies during Otakon, I give to you this collaborative effort from me and ten other AMV editors.
It's 20:21 in length.
The premise: monkeys took over the [adult swim] control room for a while on behalf of AMVS3. They even made their own commercials and trailers. The results were pretty epic.
And if you saw the mp4 download from amv.org, forget about it. The video has been rearranged and fixed where needed. It flows much better than the previous version and looks quite different.

I also need four catgirls and two catboys as game pieces.
The upside is this will be a most entertaining game show because of having to speed the pace due to time constraints. It normally takes around two hours for a full-scale game show but we're only getting an hour this time.
The bad news is we only get an hour. The full show is a LOT more fun. We're gonna have to cut the Fangirl stampede (too much time to set up the "litter box") and some of the other stunts.

It will still be fun, though. I'm choosing the best cards from the deck for this show.
